Music Video Treatment
Outline of Ideas for Music Video
For my music video, I have decided to display the protest of how refugees and immigrants are treated by society these days. With this in mind, I aim to portray either a group or follow the narrative of a single person who falls into this category and create a story based on problems they face as an immigrant. I would like the video to display the true effects of this to the audience. My target audience would be young activists who care about making a change in the world. This group of people are the perfect target audience as the issue that the video will be protesting about, targets problems in the world that are not widely known. Also, the audience are young meaning that I will be ensuring that I include parts of the video that attract young members. An example of this is by using intertextual references of something relevant to this age group in order to appeal to them.
Location/Equipment
The location I will be using for my music video will primarily be in London and diverse areas in the city. I want to display just how different one area can be to another in one city. This will include the outskirts of London and also the central city. As my second location, I plan to film in Brighton as I believe this is another area where there is such a diverse demographic of people. The equipment I will use will include a high quality camera in order to capture the most aesthetic looking shot throughout. I also will use lights as a source of lighting in order to improve the quality of the shot again.
